Aarhus Protein combines industrial processing and logistics to manufacture plant-based proteins and functional ingredients for food and feed. Its capabilities include dehulling, milling, extraction and spray drying, supported by storage and logistics at the Port of Aarhus.
From hulls to protein isolates
Hulls
The outer hulls from peas and faba beans remain a useful fibre-rich ingredient, with applications in animal feed, pet food and other uses.
Dehulled products
Removing the hull creates a concentrated plant-based ingredient used particularly in feed applications, including aquaculture and pet food.
Protein isolates
Further processing and spray drying create high-purity protein ingredients for food applications such as nutrition products, protein bars and meat alternatives.
How we work
Direct supply. Contract manufacturing.
Aarhus Protein supplies plant-based ingredients directly to customers, primarily in feed markets. Dehulled faba beans, for example, are used as a high-quality protein ingredient in aquaculture feed, including salmon feed.
Alongside direct sales, Aarhus Protein works as a contract manufacturing partner, using its processing capabilities to produce plant-based ingredients for other companies.
