In March 2024, I joined CM as a commodity broker based in Geneva. I came with an 8-year background in the commodity trading industry, including 6 years at Olam and 2 years with Cargill. Transitioning from trading to brokerage has been an enriching experience, allowing me to build on my existing expertise while developing new skills.

As a commodity broker, I’ve drawn heavily on my trading background: understanding of market fundamentals and global flows, ocean and inland logistics, and contract terms - all of which have been very valuable in my current role. However, brokerage brings unique challenges and opportunities for growth. Developing strong client relationships and deeply understanding their needs is at the heart of what we do. A good broker acts as a consultant, focusing on creating value for its customers by identifying and delivering timely opportunities that align with clients’ goals.
