Growing Shipping
Expanding Horizons with Navi Merchants
Since the beginning in 1977, Copenhagen Merchants has prioritized chartering as a cornerstone of its services.
2008
The move into shipping became 'official' in 2008 through the acquisition of Schultz Shipping in collaboration with our long-term partner Fredericia Shipping. Today, Schultz Shipping remains a modern and expanding ship agency and stevedoring company.
In line with Copenhagen Merchants’ forward-thinking approach, the daughter company Navi Merchants has recently invested in SIX advanced newbuild vessels, expected to be operational starting in 2025, signaling continued growth and innovation in the shipping business.
Navi Merchants: A trusted Dry Bulk Freight Partner
Rooted in our strong heritage, Navi Merchants specializes in dry bulk freight, focusing primarily on bulk agricultural products and biomass trades across the Baltic, Continent, Mediterranean, USA, and Southeast Asia.
While Navi Merchants core expertise lies in these sectors, the portfolio is steadily expanding to include an increasing number of yearly fixtures involving bulk minerals, chemicals, fertilizers, steel, forest products, and project cargo.
This diversification reflects Copenhagen Merchants Group’s commitment to adapting to the dynamic demands of global trade.
