Kalundborg Bulk Terminal: Denmark’s Largest Grain Export Terminal

Established as a joint venture between Copenhagen Merchants and Schultz Shipping, Kalundborg Bulk Terminal is GMP-certified and one of Denmark’s leading grain export facilities.

Located at the ISPS-approved Port of Kalundborg, the terminal offers an 11.6m berth draft, load/discharge rates of up to 900 MT/hour, and advanced board-to-board transshipment services.

Its specialized facilities include grain drying, sieving, and a high-capacity bagging line producing over 1,000 bags/hour. These features, combined with fully equipped labs and weighbridges, ensure efficient handling for a range of bulk commodities.

5Tank farms

Copenhagen Merchants Group is the co-owner of two other sites at the Port. Kalundborg Tank Terminal consisting of 5 tank farms with a combined capacity of 38,000 cubic metres and additional 17,000 square metres warehousing for general cargo.

Another Joint Venture in Copenhagen Merchants Group

Kalundborg Bulk Terminal was established in 1984 as a joint venture between Copenhagen Merchants Group and Fredericia Shipping.

Copenhagen Merchants Group owns several terminals in Denmark in partnership with Fredericia Shipping, as well as companies within the Schultz Group and Aarhus Protein, also jointly owned by the two companies.
