In 1985 CM invested in its first grain-operating terminal in Kalundborg. Back then it was a simple grain terminal consisting of two small warehouses. Today it is the main grain exporting terminal in Denmark with a fully automated and integrated storage capacity of 115,000 MT and the ability to load Panamax size vessels at a rate of up to 1,000 MT/hour.
In addition, at Kalundborg we now import feedstuffs, fertilizer and salt, dry grain, bag bulk products, handle and store liquid bulk and general cargo as well as handle containers.
INTERNATIONAL & EFFICIENT
Alongside the development in Kalundborg, CM and its partners invested in terminals in the Baltic region. Today we have 11 modern terminals in Denmark, Sweden, Poland and Latvia mainly focusing on handling and storing grain, feedstuffs and biomass. The total storage capacity is over 600.000 MT, basis wheat.
Many of the terminals are JVs with long-standing partners Fredericia Shipping, Bunge, Vivescia/Malteurop, Glencore and DLG.
The group is continuously investing in new and existing terminals and uses best practice business operations in order to provide clients with high quality, flexible and efficient solutions.
